Overview:
The article sheds some light on the challenges that BMBs face that should be considered in the discipleship process.
Content:
Christian witnesses to Muslims have questioned how to share the gospel effectively in these contexts. As the number of MBBs has increased and MBB congregations have come into existence, questions of applied theology – forms of worship, church polity and leadership, congregational life and practice, and so on – have emerged. Most if not all Muslim majority contexts are collectivistic and conversion to Christianity by individuals or families tends to be quite disruptive. Hence, issues of identity and belonging are important for MBBs. Each Muslim context is different and MBBs’ experiences should be considered locally. The author raises some questions about identity and belonging for MBBs in Turkey.
