Partners

Hikma is not a mission organisation or a church, but a genuine partnership for mutual resourcing, envisioning, encouragement and support.

We are hosted by the UK charity Word of Life which gives us formal legal covering.

partners

Our partners are in two categories:

  • 1 PARTNERS
Individual people with a commitment to BMB discipleship and organisations focused on BMB discipleship, committed to the vision and values of Hikma, actively and regularly engaged and contributing in our work.
  • 2 FRIENDS
A wider group of individuals and organisations (including churches) who understand and support the vision and values of Hikma, engaging and contributing more sporadically.

1. PARTNERS

If you are an individual with a commitment to BMB discipleship or a leader of an organisation focused on BMB discipleship, and you are committed to the vision and values of Hikma and want to actively engage with our work, we invite you to join our Partnership today.

Partners are involved by:

  • volunteering on activities (individuals) or seconding staff (organisations) to the Hikma team
  • contributing finance (e.g. $500/year for an organisation), and/or making introduction to donors and supporters
  • sharing appropriate BMB materials and resources for dissemination through the Hikma network
  • praying frequently for the work of Hikma
  • participating in 2 or more Hikma events and activities /year
  • sharing the vision and activities of Hikma through their networks and relationships.

They receive regular communication of Hikma’s activities, including relevant activities of our partners, and opportunities to meet, connect with and deepen relationships with other Hikma partners.

They also have an opportunity to participate in Hikma governance processes and to input into Hikma strategy and planning.

2. FRIENDS

If you are an individual or leader of an organisation who understands and supports the vision and values of Hikma but intend to engage more sporadically, we invite you to join us as an Friend.

Friends are involved by:

  • receiving communication from the Partnership for information and prayer
  • participating in ocasional Hikma activities
  • being invited to some gatherings
  • having access to most resources
