One Flesh-One Heart is a book of eight Bible studies to help married or engaged couples grow in finding meaning, joy and lasting love as they look to God's Word to discover the Creator's design for marriage. This book was written and first used with many BMB's in Central Asia, but its influence is spreading to believers in many other nations.

Through a close look at scripture, this book helps couples explore the following topics in 8 studies:
1. Where did marriage come from?
2. What are the biblical roles of husbands and wives and how do these complement each other and bring order and peace to the home?
3. What does it mean for couples to make Jesus the Lord of their home?
4. How can couples find and enjoy God’s beautiful gift of sexual intimacy in marriage and keep it special for a lifetime?
5. How can husbands and wives protect their marriage from the scourge of adultery, divorce and pornography?
6. Why is it important for husbands and wives to learn to humble themselves, forgiving and asking forgiveness of each other, and what are practical steps to actually do it?
7. How can couples learn to resolve conflict in the marriage with kindness and respect?
8. How can couples grow together in their walk with God, learning to worship and serve Him as a family, and not just as individuals?
Every study focuses on prayer and application of what is learned to everyday life in the marriage. The two chapters on conflict resolution and forgiveness each also contain a guide to help couples walk through these often difficult situations with grace, so they grow in mature love for each other. All eight Bible studies guide couples through relevant passages of scripture using three categories of questions: 1) What does these verses actually say? 2) What does they mean? and 3) How can I apply these teachings to my life and marriage?
One Flesh-One Heart was written specifically for use with non-Westerners, but has been used successfully by people of many nationalities around the world. Although the book assumes the reader is desiring to establish a Christian home, these studies have been used in mixed groups, where some were Christian and some were not. Some non-Christians have found the teachings of the Bible regarding husbands and wives to be fascinating and attractive, drawing them to commit their lives to Christ.
This book has proven valuable for use in small groups of couples, in couple to couple discipleship, and also when used by one couple alone.
