Overview:
Kucak holds annual country-wide as well as area specific seminars to help equip the Turkish church as it disciples children and trains Godly teachers/mentors. Topics include effective Sunday School methods including “Godly Play,” parenting, how to teach and model Christ to children.
Content:
Kucak conducts seminars on various topics dealing with children’s spirituality, the challenges for Christian children and youth in Turkey, parenting, the role of the church in supporting children and how to organize, prepare and conduct an effective Sunday School program and/or children’s camp. Understanding the importance of safety and accountability, Kucak has also become an information centre for Safeguarding for churches in Turkey and is anxious whenever possible to include this important topic in any of its general trainings. Though not the official representative for “Godly Play” in Turkey, Kucak was instrumental in bringing Godly Play to Turkey, translating many of the lessons and conducting introductory presentations about using this Sunday School method in Turkey.
