Within these 10 broad topics, individual studies introduce the readers to what Jesus said about Himself, His heavenly Father, and the Holy Spirit. Still others focus on what Jesus said about serving the poor, investing the talents God gives us and denying ourselves to follow Him. Each study is designed to lead groups/individuals into meditation and discussion on the Word of God through three types of questions: “What does it say?” (careful observation), “What does it mean?” (careful interpretation) and “How should I apply it to my life?” The goal is always application (obedience), which leads to knowing Jesus better and being transformed to be like Him.
