Overview:
Dehghani-Tafti's account sheds light on his spiritual and missiological challenges and how he overcame them.
Content:
The book is the story of the spiritual journey of Hassan B. Dehqani-Tafti from his birth to a Muslim father and a Christian mother and his upbringing in the Christian Faith.
Dehqani-Tafti, the Anglican Bishop of Iran from 1960 to 1990, speaks of his psychological crisis which led to deeper faith, for which he later found roots in the Persian cultural inheritance rejected by his missionary education.
This is a moving account of a spiritual journey made difficult by Western modernism and Christian denominational bickering in a majority Muslim context.
